Estonian Startup Wise Guys exits from Ukrainian AI startup BotsCrew
Estonian Startup Wise Guys has exited Ukrainian company BotsCrew, which develops chatbots for business. The controlling stake in the AI startup was acquired by the US company CourtAvenue. The founders did not disclose the value of the deal.
BotsCrew, founded in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, has been operating in the AI market since 2016, developing solutions for healthcare, e-commerce, travel, government, and process automation sectors, with clients including Virgin Holidays, Honda, and Mars. BotsCrew founders: Nazar Hembara, Max Gladysh, and Oleh Pylypchak.
As part of the deal, BotsCrew will continue to operate as part of the CourtAvenue group of companies, with all three co-founders retaining leadership positions in the company. Startup Wise Guys was an investor in BotsCrew as part of the March 2020 accelerator/incubator round.
Launched in 2012, Estonian Startup Wise Guys is an accelerator that invests in early-stage startups from the Baltic, Central European, and African regions. It has invested in more than 350 startups and had 13 exits. Startup Wise Guys typically invests up to €500K per startup through multiple funds that manage €45M and are backed by more than 150 investors. The CEO of Startup Wise Guys is Сristobal Аlonso.
