Estonian company Ridango buys Irish uTrack

Estonian transportation technology startup Ridango bought Irish software company uTrack.

Ridango is a company that has developed an operating system for automated fare collection, real-time passenger information systems, automatic vehicle location tracking and mobility as a service (MaaS) technology. The company serves more than 150 customers in over 25 countries around the world. Ridango was founded in 2009 in Tallinn, Estonia.

In March London-based private equity fund Bregal Milestone has acquired a majority stake in Ridango from Estonian fund BaltCap. With Bregal Milestone's operational and financial support, the Estonian company plans to accelerate its organic and inorganic growth and transform itself into a technology company with global ambitions.

Founded in 2011 by Eamonn Hughes and Conor Gildea, uTrack is a Dublin-headquartered company providing a real-time public transportation data platform. uTrack‘s clients include some of the largest urban bus, intercity coach, and school transport providers across Ireland, the UK, and North America.
