Estonian company GScan raises €2.8M
Estonian company GScan has raised €2.8M. Among the company's investors was Estonian Ivard OÜ, whose largest shareholder is Peeter Mand, founder of Sylvester and Eften Capital, who contributed almost €1M. GScan CEO Marek Helm invested in the company €300K.
GScan is a company that provides scanning and tomography solutions. It specializes in assessing the structural integrity of critical infrastructure such as tunnels and bridges. The company was founded in Estonia in 2018 by Hannes Plinte, Märt Mägi, Madis Kiisk and Andi Hektor.
GScan is collaborating on a project with the UK National Highways, AtkinsRealis, and Jacobs. The startup's technology can also be implemented in defense, national security, healthcare, and space sectors. The company has initiated the launch of SilentBorder's project to use myon tomography to find drugs and other contraband inside shipping containers without manual inspection.
In 2024 GScan raised €3M from Markus Villig, co-founder of Estonian mobility unicorn Bolt, Japanese corporate venture funds, and existing angel investors.
