10 startups enter Estonian defense technology pre-accelerator

Ten startups have entered the defence technology pre-accelerator, the programme of which is being implemented by the Startup Incubator Tehnopol and the Tartu Science Park Sparkup

The pre-accelerator included:

  • Thistle OÜ, a manufacturer of mobile counter-drone systems.
  • Metamobilis, a solution for accelerating the development of small arms shooting skills.
  • UnMarSys, a developer of manned surface surveillance vehicles.
  • Asvel, a developer of a self-propelled robot for minimally invasive surgeries.
  • Ratel Robotics, a developer of modular unmanned ground vehicles.
  • Max Joule, a developer of battery systems.
  • Taara Robotics, a manufacturer of autonomous collaborative robots.
  • Falconers, a developer of artificial intelligence for remote sensing and equipment for digitizing the Earth.
  • Milmech Systems, a developer of demining devices.
  • Startup C2Grid, developing an intelligent data exchange platform for military units.

The pre-accelerator helps startups that have a prototype to develop solutions and test them in a real environment. As part of the program, participants receive a grant of €5К, training, mentoring, preparation for future rounds of the NATO DIANA Accelerator and the European Defense Fund. The programme will conclude with a Demo Day.
