Tõnu Puidak has become the new majority owner of the Estonian Ampler
Businessman Tõnu Puidak has become the new majority owner of Estonian electric bicycle manufacturer Ampler.
Ampler was founded in Tallinn in 2016 by Ardo Kaurit, Hannes Laar, and Rait Udumäe. The company designs, engineers, and assembles lightweight electric bikes in Estonia. The e-bikes can be connected to an Ampler application. The GPS location tracking can show the bike's location and travel history.
In February 2023, Kõu Mobility Group acquired 51% of the Ampler. The company bought a further 15.9% of the company in June 2023. In November 2024, Ampler raised €300K from Pipedrive co-founder Ragnar Sass.
