Startup with Estonian roots Video Game Insights acquired by US-based Sensor Tower

Video Game Insights, a gaming industry analysis company, has announced that it has been acquired by US market research firm Sensor Tower. The amount of the deal and other financial details were not disclosed.

Video Game Insights (VG Insights) provides market research, information and data to the gaming industry. According to the company, it helps clients - independent developers, game industry analysts or just enthusiasts - make better data-driven decisions. VG Insights originally provided analytics for games on the Steam platform but recently started analyzing data for Xbox and PlayStation. The company was founded in 2020 by Estonians Karl Kontus and Harry Nõmmanni. VG Insights is headquartered in London.

The acquisition of VG Insights will allow Sensor Tower to expand the functionality of its platform beyond the mobile market. The main goal of the deal is to strengthen the company's position in the game analytics market.
