Startup Wise Guys invests in Italian Zerow
Estonian Startup Wise Guys has invested €120K in Italian company Zerow in a €400K funding round, which also included investments from business angel and strategic partners of the company, as well as government grants.
Zerow is a Tuscany-based company that operates in the commercial sustainable fashion market. It offers a marketplace where companies and professionals can buy and sell surplus and production waste, including fabrics, yarns, leather, equipment and other materials. The company was founded by Gabriele Rorandelli and Alessio Troisi in Italy in 2021.
With the funds raised, Zerow will accelerate its mission: to reduce waste and environmental impact by reusing and recycling high quality fabrics and leather from luxury fashion through its own marketplace.
The startup raised up to €100K from Startup Wise Guys in June of 2024 as part of the accelerator program in Bilbao.
Launched in 2012, Estonian Startup Wise Guys is an accelerator that invests in early-stage startups from the Baltic, Central European, and African regions. Startup Wise Guys typically invests up to €500K per company through multiple funds that manage €45M and are backed by more than 150 investors. The CEO of Startup Wise Guys is Cristobal Alonso.
