Markus Villig joins Klarna's board of directors

Markus Villig, founder and CEO of Bolt, has joined the board of directors of a Swedish fintech company Klarna

Klarna enables customers to pay for purchases in partner stores in instalments. The company was founded in 2005 in Stockholm, Sweden. The founders of the company are Sebastian Siemiatkowski, Niklas Adalbert and Viktor Jakobsson.

The news of Markus Villing joining Klarna comes ahead of the company's planned IPO, which is reportedly expected to raise a billion dollars for the company. According to the Bolt founder, he is looking forward to working with Klarna, which is changing the online payments industry.

Markus Villig is an Estonian billionaire entrepreneur, who founded Bolt, a transportation company that offers ride-hailing services, shared cars and scooters, and food and grocery delivery, in Tallinn in 2013.
