Estonia's Karma Ventures invests in WunderGraph
Estonian investment firm Karma Ventures led a $7.5M Series A funding round for WunderGraph. Other investors in the startup include US venture funds eBay Ventures and Aspenwood Ventures.
WunderGraph is a technology startup that has developed an open source platform for creating, managing and integrating APIs for web and mobile applications. The company was founded in 2020 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, but is registered in the United States. The founders of the company are Dustin Deus, Jens Neuse, Stefan Avram and Björn Schwenzer.
According to WunderGraph's Chief Commercial Officer Stefan Avram, this funding will allow the company to scale while maintaining its commitment to open source development. With the money received from investors, WunderGraph plans to increase its staff from 20 to 30 people and double the funding for its open source development by adding more tools.
Founded in 2016 by Kristjan Laanemaa, Margus Uudam, and Tommi Uhari, Karma Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm, investing in late seed and A-series European startups. The firm injects up to €5M in the initial round and also makes follow-on investments in later rounds.
