Startups from Latvia collect all prizes at TechChill competition

 

In the TechChill startup and technology competition, Latvian startups received investment offers for €610K.

The startup Theo, founded in 2023 in Riga, received the most investments offers: €250K from the venture fund BADideas.fund and another €100K from the venture fund FIRSTPICK. The startup offers the world's first plug & play business information management platform for small and medium-sized businesses.   

The Latvian Business Angels Network has granted investment offers of €50K to the startup Tournated, which offers an alternative to Shopify for sports organizations. An offer of €50K was also received by the startup AdsMom, which has developed a platform for analyzing global advertising libraries in order to improve advertising efficiency. AdsMom also won the TechChill community prize of €10K. 

Protium Tech, a startup that has developed a highly efficient solution to reduce the cost of hydrogen production, has received а €100K offer from venture capital fund Depo Ventures and €60K from Beamline Accelerator

Other Latvian startups that made it to the finals of the TechChill competition were given the opportunity to study at Draper University in California.

TechChill is a two-day conference in the Baltic States that focuses on developing relationships between entrepreneurs and investors. It has been held annually since 2012. 

BADideas.fund is an angel investor syndicate investing €50-€150K tickets in post-MVP startups in CEE. Since launching in April 2022, we have invested over €2M. 

FIRSTPICK is a venture fund for tech startups from the Baltic States, founded in 2022 by a group of Lithuanian investors: Jonė Vaitulevičiūtė, Andra Bagdonaitė, Dmitrij Sosunov и Marijus Andrijauskas. 

Depo Ventures is a venture capital fund from the Czech Republic founded in 2016. The fund is backed by business angels and focused on early-stage startups from Europe and the Baltics. 

Beamline Accelerator is an investment management firm founded in 2021 in Tallinn, Estonia. The company specializes in early-stage financing of climate technology startups.
