Startups from the Estonian county Ida Viru increased their turnover by 66% in 2024

According to Startup Estonia, the turnover of startups in Estonian county Ida Viru in 2024 amounted to €5.4M, an increase of 66% compared to the previous year. 

DGTal Solutions, which moved to Ida Viru from Harju Сounty last year with a turnover of €2.3M, has shown the best results among the startups in Ida Viru. The local leader is followed by RHOMTRIP with €980K and PROSW Analytics with €780K.

According to data from the Department of Statistics, more than half (54%) of employees in the local startup sector have a college degree and a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree. 62% of employees of startup companies in Ida Viru have Estonian citizenship and 30% have citizenship of some other country, the citizenship of another 8% is unknown.

According to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, startups in Ida Virumaa paid €200K in labor taxes in the first half of the year, which is 42% more than in the same period last year. The startup Efenco was the largest employer and payer of labor taxes, it had 12 employees at the end of June and paid €130K in labor taxes.

DGTal Solutions is a platform offering copyright management solutions for musicians. It simplifies legal, technological and reporting solutions for artists. The company was founded by Taisa Vasianovych and Valerii Luts in Estonia in 2019. 

RHOMTRIP is an Estonian company founded by Pablo Antonio Palma Castro, Matias Alvarez Capitaine and Mariano Hernan Chiesa in 2018 that provides private transfer and chauffeur services. It offers efficient and cost-effective ground transportation solutions worldwide for individuals and groups.

PROSW Analytics is an Estonian company offering IT services: programming, consulting, etc. The company was founded by Andrei Tcirkini in March 2022.
