Estonia's Cybernetica signs a contract with Benin to create a digital state

Estonian technology company Cybernetica and the government of Benin have signed a multi-year contract to modernize digital services in this West African country.

Cybernetica is a technology company founded in 1997 in Estonia that provides digital cybersecurity and digital identity services. Cybernetica's technology solutions are used in 35 countries around the world.

The company will upgrade and support Benin's national public services portal and data sharing platform, enabling government agencies to provide e-services to citizens.

In recent years, Benin has been rapidly developing its digital realm with the help of Estonian technology. Today, more than 50 public institutions in Benin are already using Cybernetica solutions, providing a total of about 270 digital services.

According to Oliver Väärtnõu, CEO of Cybernetica, digital public services have become the backbone of Benin's economy and society, so the Estonian company's cooperation with the country's government is beneficial for both parties.
