Estonian startup Alpha3D acquires Dutch company MoonlanderAI

Alpha3D, an Estonian company developing an AI-powered 3D content creation platform, has acquired a Dutch AI-powered game development platform MoonlanderAI. 

MoonlanderAI is a company that uses artificial intelligence to simplify 3D game development. Founded in 2022 by Kasem Challiu in Brussum, the Netherlands.

Alpha3D is a technology startup founded in 2018 in Estonia. The company develops an artificial intelligence-based platform that enables automatic conversion of 2D images of real products into 3D content that can be used in various digital environments such as AR, VR, games and metaverse. Alpha3D has over 550K users and has partnered with industry giants such as Nvidia, Google and Farfetch.

In 2023, Alpha3D has raised €2M from leading venture capital fund Curiosity VC and prominent business angels such as former Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas and Sebastian Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox.

According to Madis Alesmaa, CEO of Alpha3D, the acquisition of MoonlanderAI will be a game changer for the entire augmented reality industry. The deal will also allow the Estonian startup to overcome outdated barriers to augmented reality content so that creators can easily generate, customize and use 3D content on any platform.
