Veriff is to open office in Brazil

Estonian verification startup Veriff will open an office in Sao Paolo, Brazil this spring. This is connected with the increase of the company's business volume in the Latin American region in 2024, which has grown by 2.5 times. 

Founded in Tallinn in 2015, Veriff is an online identity verification unicorn that protects businesses and their customers from online identity fraud. The company has offices in the US, UK, Estonia, and Spain.

The presence in Latin America will allow Veriff to better serve global customers, most of which are based in the US and operate in the same time zone as Brazil rather than Estonia. The Latin American market also has a huge potential due to the high number of online scams there. 

In addition, Veriff founder and CEO Kaarel Kotkas noted that this year the startup will use the funding to expand its product portfolio, enter new markets, and strengthen its global customer base.
