Estonian Dark Math Games raises investment from Margus Linnamäe's company MM Grupp

Estonian studio Dark Math Games has raised investment from Margus Linnamäe's company MM Grupp. The amount of the investment was not disclosed, but according to Gamesindustry.biz, which shared the news, it was a seven-figure sum.

UK-based Dark Math Games was founded in 2023 by Disco Elysium RPG developers Heiti Kender and Kaur Kender, the game's motion graphics designer Timo Albert and Estonian entrepreneur Mihkel Oja, and is developing a detective RPG called XXX Nightshift. The company will use the investment to focus on the quality and artistic side of the project.

Registered in Tallinn in 1999 and owned by Margus Linnamäe, MM Grupp is an investment firm that operates in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland. It has invested in 132 companies in media, entertainment, healthcare, real estate, food industry, and more.
