Estonian Trind Ventures invests in Finnish genetic testing company Evogenom

Estonian Trind Ventures has invested in Finnish genetic testing company Evogenom. Several business angels also participated in the deal.

The funding will enable Evogenom to expand its business, strengthen its market position, refine its products, and support international expansion efforts.

Evogenom has developed its own genotyping chip and software for complex analyses focusing on the genetics of traits. Clients take a genetic test at home and send it back to the company. They then receive insights on wellness, recovery, sleep, exercise, diet, and medication in a mobile app. The company was founded in 2016.

Trind Ventures is an early-stage venture fund with an initial ticket of €100K — €1M, and follow-on investments up to €5M per company. The partners are Joel Aasmäe, Ivar Siimar, Kimmo Irpola, Taavi Lepmets, and Reima Linnanvirta.
