Startup Wise Guys invests in Ukrainian startup PLATMA

Estonian accelerator and fund Startup Wise Guys has invested in Ukrainian startup PLATMA, which helps companies develop IT solutions without needing extensive programming skills. US-based Almaz Capital and Kazakhstan's EA Group participated in the $2M pre-seed round, investing $500K each. Azerbaijan's Caucasus Ventures, Kazakhstan's Tumar Venture Fund, MOST Ventures, and ACTIVAT VC also joined the round. After the deal, PLATMA was valued at $20M.

Founded in 2022 by Yaroslav Kologrivov, Maxym Prokhorov, Maxym Kolyada, and Sergiy Kozlov, PLATMA allows users to create software applications without needing extensive programming skills. Using a set of open-source components, developers can leverage existing code and resources to create applications. The startup's development team can also help to modify an existing application.

In addition, PLATMA offers a no-code platform that allows users to build applications using natural language as code. The platform uses natural language processing (NLP) and AI algorithms to transform user queries into ready-to-use solutions.

The company is headquartered in the United States, and the team also works in Ukraine, Cyprus, Portugal, and Kazakhstan.

The platform has over 10K registered users, and it has helped to create several thousand applications. PLATMA's customers include companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Slovenia and other countries.

PLATMA will use the investment to expand the capabilities of AI and NLP technologies, enter new markets, and scale the team.
