Lithuanian geospatial startup AISPECO raises €1.45M
Lithuanian geospatial startup AISPECO has raised €1.45M from angel syndicate NGL, and existing investors Finnish investment manager Innovestor and Superhero Capital. The NGL angel syndicate, which includes investors such as Linas Sargautis, Andrius Rupšys, Indre Dargyte, Šarūnas Račkauskas, Skirmantas Mačiukas and others, has invested €423K.
Founded in Vilnius in 2020 by Rokas Adiklis and Karolis Bazilevićius, AISPECO develops geospatial data collection systems whose multi-sensor units can be installed on helicopters, airplanes, or drones. AISPECO's systems are designed to perform power line inspections and obtain various images, including optical, infrared, corona, and hyperspectral, in areas such as forestry, urban mapping, mining, and defense applications. AISPECO's solutions can be operated remotely and do not require aircraft modifications.
The company works with clients from the US, Canada, LATAM, and the EU. The startup plans to use the investment to develop an AI-powered HELIUX FOCUS stabilization (gimbal) system, designed for aerial data collection. The system uses image sensors, and artificial intelligence technology helps to detect fixed objects and calculate their coordinates. This allows the system to rotate and capture images of the intended targets, even while the aircraft is moving.
Founded in 2022 by the ex-managing director of LitBAN Justinas Pasys, NGL organizes angel syndicates to invest in startups. It is also a network of startup board members that facilitate syndicated investments. NGL organizes business angel training and forms startup advisory boards.
