Investment platform Mintos raises €2M from FlyCap

Latvian investment platform Mintos has raised €2M in debt financing from Latvian fund FlyCap.

Founded in Riga in 2015 by Martins Sulte and Martins Valters, Mintos is a licensed investment firm in the European Union operating under the European Financial Markets Directive. It has more than 500K registered investors and manages assets worth more than €600M.

One of the company's products is investing in fractional bonds (small fractions of a bond). Another product is investing in notes secured by loans issued to individuals and companies worldwide. In addition, Mintos investors can make passive real estate investments and investments in ETFs (exchange-traded funds).

In 2023, Mintos' revenue increased by 30% to €11.4M, the platform's net profit reached €650K compared to a loss of €196K in 2022. Mintos operates in Latvia, Poland, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Spain. 

The company will use the investment to further develop the platform, attract clients across the EU, expand its reach to a wider audience of new investors, and enter new markets.                                      

In August 2024, Mintos raised €3.1M from 3,300 investors in a crowdfunding campaign on the London-based Crowdcube platform. 

Founded in 2013 by Girts Milgravis, Janis Liepins, and Janis Skutelis, FlyCap is a mezzanine fund, focused on medium-sized companies in Europe.
