Riga-based investment platform Mintos raises €3.1M

 

Latvian investment platform Mintos has raised €3.1M from 3,300 investors in a crowdfunding campaign on the London-based Crowdcube platform.   

Founded in Riga in 2015 by Martins Sulte and Martins Valters, Mintos is an authorized investment firm in the European Union that works under the European Financial Markets Directive. It has more than 500K registered investors and manages assets worth more than €600M.

The platform allows users to invest in fractional bonds, in notes backed by loans issued to individuals and companies worldwide, and into exchange-traded funds. The platform also provides an opportunity to make passive real estate investments. Mintos operates in Latvia, Poland, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Spain.

Mintos will use the investment to grow its business, expand into new markets in the European Union, integrate new products and enhance its platform offering.

London-based and founded in 2010, Croudcube is an equity crowdfunding platform. The Co-CEO of Croudcube is Matt Cooper.
