Estonian Nortal acquires UK-based cybersecurity consultancy 3DOT Solutions

Estonian digital transformation company Nortal has acquired UK-based cybersecurity consultancy 3DOT Solutions. The UK's consultancy experts will join Nortal's global team of 2K employees.

Founded in 2012, 3DOT Solutions provides cybersecurity consultancy services from solution design to deployment and implementation. The company's solutions combine secure design, secure information architecture, and secure operations. The secure design solution helps organizations mitigate potential vulnerabilities and strengthen the overall security of their systems. The secure information architecture solution helps reduce the risks to customers' IT infrastructure. 3DOT Solutions also specializes in developing Security Operations frameworks that help organizations respond quickly to risks.

3DOT Solutions' customers include both private and public sector clients, including the UK Armed Forces and Intelligence Services. CEO and founder Michael Hampson.

This transaction will enable Nortal to strengthen its presence in the UK and strengthen its cyber security and defense business in Europe, the US, and the Gulf region. Nortal will start to offer its customers information and security architecture consulting for cyber resilience and compliance, creation, and execution of cyber security programs, IT/OT and cyber domain security, as well as R&D services, serving enterprises, national defense, and security organizations. For 3DOT Solutions, the acquisition will allow the company to grow its presence in the UK, Europe, NATO countries, and new markets and regions.

Founded in Tallinn in 2000 by Priit Alamäe, Nortal provides strategic consulting, software development projects, and related advisory and digitization services. Nortal has worked on digital transformation projects for governments, healthcare institutions, and other global enterprises. The company has contributed to the improvement of the Estonian government portal eesti.ee, where people can apply for government services such as filing documents, registering the birth of a child, starting a business, and all types of e-services from government agencies.
