Startup Wise Guys invests in cybersecurity startup CyLock

Estonian accelerator Startup Wise Guys has invested in Italian cybersecurity startup CyLock. Italian Scientifica Venture Capital led the €500K round. Italian CDP Venture Capital and New York-based Exor Ventures also participated in the round.

Previously, CyLock raised €320K through the Cyber Xcelerator accelerator, part of CDP Venture Capital, Italian VCs Zest and Innova Venture.

Founded in Rome in 2022 by Verando Zappi, Roberto Giaccio,  Diego Padovan, and Alessio Salzano, CyLock has designed and developed software, that allows both cybersecurity specialists and non-specialists to test IT systems in small and medium-sized businesses. CyLock's solution configures itself and simulates thousands of attacks using an AI-based information processing process.

The software allows organizations to test their digital defenses to identify and eliminate vulnerabilities in IT systems and websites, e-commerce sites, apps, emails, information systems, corporate networks, servers, and IoT. Users will receive results classified by risk level, and it is also possible to export results as a PDF for sharing with experts and reviewers.

The startup will use the investment to prepare for international expansion and further development.

Launched in 2012, Estonian Startup Wise Guys is an accelerator that invests in early-stage startups from the Baltic, Central European, and African regions. The CEO of Startup Wise Guys is Сristobal Аlonso.
