Latvian Telegram dating service Flirtu.io has raised investment from Riga-based theIntelligent VC. The amount of the investment is undisclosed.

Founded in 2022 by Dmitry Placko, Flirtu.io is a dating application on the Telegram messenger. The user has to add his photos and information about himself, choose people to match with, and start talking. The service does not share users' exact location or their personal information, for instance, profiles on Telegram.

The application is currently testing new features, such as social media dating coaches and an AI mini-application for photo editing. Flirtu has more than 3.5M users.

Founded in Riga, theIntelligent VC is a venture company with a focus on early-stage AI-powered startups. To receive investment, the startups must demonstrate "at least minimal" traction through sales, contracts, or other tangible indicators of market validation. The average ticket size per startup is up to $250K. Partners of the VC are Andrei Doktoroff and Tetiana Doktorova.
