Gintare Verbickaite-Baciuliene has been appointed the new CEO of Unicorns Lithuania

Gintare Verbickaite-Baciuliene, former head of the technology sector team at state investment promotion agency Invest Lithuania, has been appointed as the new CEO of Unicorns Lithuania.

Gintare Verbickaite-Baciuliene replaced Inga Langaite, who left her position in June 2024. Langaite has been the head of the association for the past three years since its foundation. Rūta Pukenė was the interim head of Unicorns Lithuania from June until now.

According to Arnas Stuopelis, chairman of the board of Unicorns Lithuania, the main responsibility of Gintare Verbickaite-Baciuliene at her new position will be growing community and streghtening the technology sector.

Gintare Verbickaite-Baciuliene led Invest Lithuania's technology department for four years. Since 2024 she has been the head of global development of this organization. Before working at Invest in Lithuania, Gintare Verbickaite-Baciuliene was one of the founders and chairperson of the board of the Australia-Lithuanian Business Council, and business advisor of Global Lithuanian Leaders.

Co-founded by Mantas Mikuckas (who launched the Lithuanian marketplace Vinted) in 2021, Unicorns Lithuania is a startup founder association, which unites more than 110 companies in the Lithuanian technology sector. The association aims to build the startup community, streghten the value of startup economy, increase amount of local talent and attract global expertise, promote transformative initiatives in education and business.
