Vilnius-based Contrarian Ventures invests in French energy management service provider Decade Energy

Lithuanian Contrarian Ventures has been one of the lead investors in French logistics electrification and energy management service provider Decade Energy, with the €3.6M seed round also co-led by Munich-based Ananda Impact Ventures.

Founded in Paris in 2019 by Carl-Magnus Norden, Casper Norden, Mariela Atanasova, and Alexandre Cleret, Decade Energy assists large European logistics organizations switch to electric fleets, developing the optimal transition plan. The company designs energy and charging infrastructure tailored to its clients' needs, manages the installation, enables smart energy consumption, etc.

Decade Energy streamlines the electrification process by maintaining and integrating these systems on behalf of its clients. This approach makes the cost of electric vehicles comparable to that of diesel, resulting in saving millions of tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. 

Established in Vilnius in 2017, Contrarian Ventures is a seed-stage venture company focused on investing in climate startups from Europe and Israel. The fund typically invests between €1.5M and €4M. Currently, it has offices in Berlin and London. The founder and managing partner is Rokas Peciulaitis.
