Latvian manufacturer of 3D-printed aircraft components AM Craft raises €600K
Founded in 2018 by Didzis Dejus and Janis Jatnieks, AM Craft designs, manufactures, and delivers certified interior components for aircraft cabins, which can be used by airlines and aircraft maintainers. Parts that the start-up can print include seat back reinforcements, customized equipment storage shelves for SAR and medical flight teams, business economy seat components, and others. The company can also design specific parts required by the airline.
AM Craft uses its own eight industrial 3D-printed machines. Additionally, AM Craft's partners have more than 50 printers across seven different locations in the region of EMEA region, giving the company more flexible delivery schedules and the ability to take on volume orders.
In September 2023, the company opened a manufacturing facility in Dubai, called Paradigm 3D. AM Craft plans to create production facilities in Central Europe, Southeast Asia, and, also, in the United States.
Established in Tallinn in 2017 by Andris Berzins, Rait Ojasaar, and Yrjö Ojasaar, Change Ventures backs pre-seed and seed-stage Baltic startups and founders of Baltic origin. Change Ventures has invested in over 30 startups. The initial ticket size per startup is between €100K and €500K.
Launched in April 2022 by Raimonds Kulbergs, the BADideas.fund focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage startups from the Baltics and CEE region. The typical ticket size is €100K. The fund has more than 40 business angels, founders, executives, and employees from Bolt, Vimeo, Printify, PandaDoc, Pipedrive, and others.
