Vibroacoustic bed maker Stapes raises €50K from Latvian accelerator Buildit

Stapes, a Riga-based maker of vibroacoustic beds that help reduce stress, has raised €50K from a Latvian fund and accelerator Buildit

Founded in Riga in 2022 by Janis Siders and Kristaps Stikuts, Stapes designed a bed, software, and acoustic system consisting of eight speakers that allow users to enjoy different sound frequencies. Stapes' solution combines sound vibrations with virtualization technologies. Using the bed helps release endorphins and reduce stress in 10-15 minute sessions.

The startup works by subscription model for office and home users. The employee can also listen to the same music on the way home. The beds can be purchased. The equipment also includes headphones and a tablet.

Buildit is an accelerator for hardware and IoT startups. It provides between €10K to €50K in pre-seed investment to the best-performing startups and up to €250K in seed investment. Buildit's partners are Matīss Neimanis, Rene Tõnnisson, and Aleksander Tõnnisson.
