Vinted acquires Danish fashion marketplace Trendsales

Lithuanian second-hand clothing company Vinted has acquired Danish marketplace for second-hand fashion and lifestyle items Trendsales, founded in 2013 in Copenhagen by Mads Aaroe Mathiesen. With the acquisition, Vinted aims to leverage Trendsales' local knowledge and strong presence in Denmark to strengthen its business in the country.

Founded in Vilnius in 2008 by Justas Janauskas, Mantas Mikuckas, Milda Mitkute, and Greg O’Connor, Vinted marketplace has over 80M registered members, and it operates in 20 markets across in Europe and North America. The company employs 1,8K people and has offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Kaunas, and Prague. 

In September 2023, Vinted launched operations in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. In October, Vinted Go, a new Vinted company focused on shipping and delivering goods across Europe, acquired Dutch delivery company Homerr.
