Six Baltic fintech companies joined Statista and CNBC's top 200
Six Baltic fintech companies joined a list of the top 200 businesses, made by German data platform Statista and the US business news TV channel and online media CNBC.
Tallinn-based investment platform Bondora (founded in 2008) and platforms for investing in loans income and IUVO Group, Riga-based loan platforms Mintos and Twino, and Vilnius peer-to-peer and crowdfunding platform Finbee appeared in the list in the category of alternative lending. Founded by Estonian entrepreneurs Taavet Hinrikus and Kristo Käärmann, London-based money transfer service Wise is also on the list.
Statista analyzed more than 1,5K companies that work in 9 market segments, such as neobanking, digital payments, digital assets, digital financial planning, digital asset management, alternative financing, alternative lending, digital banking, and digital business solutions. All companies had an evaluation by income, number of users, and raised investment. Statista used the companies' annual reports, websites, and news articles for analyzing its data.
