EstBAN appointed Lauri Antalainen as a new president
Estonian syndicate of angel investors EstBAN (Estonian Business Angels Network) appointed Lauri Antalainen as a new president. He was the vice president of EstBAN from September 2021 until now. Lauri Antalainen will substitute for this position Lev Dolgatsjov.
Lauri Antalainen has been involved in angel investing since 2012. He is an AI and digitalization advisor and Tartu Science Park mentor, and co-founder of DigiWise (helps conduct digitization projects in industries such as metal processing, wood processing, food processing, and in the public sector).
Lev Dolgatsjov, ex-president of EstBAN and the Chair of the Board from September 2021, is leaving the business angels network. He will continue to invest through its microVC company Syda Ventures. Working as a president at EstBAN, he pushed the idea of hosting EBAN Annual Congress in Tallinn.
Mait Sooaru becomes the new vice president. He has led several EstBAN syndicates over the past few years, including those with sTARTUp Day 2023 (investments in Estonian startup Paul-Tech) and Latitude59 2023 (investments in Flowstep, Cina, Äio Tech) pitch competitions.
Founded in 2012, EstBAN is a syndicate organization of angel investors. The lead investors are Martin Gorosko and Mait Sooaru. The main focus is early-stage companies with high growth potential and high risk.
