Cats.VC exited Estonian developer of software for farmers eAgronom
Lithuanian-based fund Cats.VC exited Estonian SaaS solution for agricultural land management eAgronom. This is the first exit of the fund.
eAgronom was launched in Tallinn in 2016 by Robin Saluoks and Kristjan Luha. eAgronom helps farmers collect all the information on costs, fertilizers used, temperature, weather, planting, etc. Based on the results of the surveys, the service prepares state reports, as well as helps make calculations and decisions about which fields to plant and what to plant. The company software also lets farmers manage their carbon footprint and earn, trade, and exchange carbon credits. Thus they can improve the sustainability of their farms and earn extra revenue from the carbon credits.
Cats.VC was founded by Maksim Chebotarev and Yakov Kop in 2020. The fund has 19 companies in its portfolio. The average ticket is €500K. Cats.VC invested in eAgronom with Estonian fund SuperAngel VC and Lithuanian IronWolf Capital, Martin Villig, founder of Estonian mobility unicorn Bolt, and Taavi Tamkivi, founder of anti-money laundering platform Salv in 2020. The total amount of the deal was €3,1M.
