Estonian-US startup Snackable.ai was acquired by Amazon

Estonian-US startup Snackable.ai was acquired by the e-commerce platform Amazon. The deal was closed in December 2023. With the acquisition, Estonian venture funds Tera Ventures, Superangel, and founder of Skype Jaan Tallinn exited from Snackable.ai. They participated in Snackable’s seed round of investments in 2019. The total amount of financing in that round was €1,27M.

Snackable.ai developed an AI-based audio content search engine. With the help of technology, it's possible to structure long video and audio instantly, and automatically generate chapters, tags and key highlights, audiograms, and more. Startup was founded by Mary Joller in 2018. The company operated mainly in the US.

Tera Ventures is an international investment firm based in Estonia. Tera Ventures had 12 active investments in its first fund. Currently, it invests out of €45M second fund. The focus is on startups from Baltics, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

Superangel is an Estonian fund, which focuses on early-stage investment in the Baltics and Nordics.
