Startups from Estonian Tartu and Ida-Viru counties increased their turnover in 2022

Startups from Estonian Tartu and Ida-Viru counties increased their turnover in 2022, compared to 2021. 106 startups, based in Tartu County, made a turnover of €88M in 2022. That is 30% more than the year before. The largest turnover of €18,7M showed SMS Lead Generation Service for Businesses Messente Communications.

It was followed by digital customer service provider Glia (unicorn), with €10,8M, on-demand metal fabrication platform Fractory (€10,6M), and an electronic sauna heater that can be controlled via the application HUUM - €8,5M. In total, the companies paid €14M in labor taxes. 

20 startups from Ida-Viru County reached a turnover of €2,1M in 2022 - 373% more than in the previous year. Gaming platform Friedegggames OÜ had the largest turnover of €1,2M, and the second position received PROSW Analytics with a turnover of €500K. In 2021 the total turnover of the companies from Ida Viru was €500K, and in 2019 - €1,4M. The startups paid €300K in labor taxes - 37% more than a year earlier.
