US Hivelocity acquired cloud provider Heficed founded by Lithuanians
US IaaS (type of cloud provider) and Bare Metal Cloud provider Hivelocity acquired network infrastructure solutions and cloud provider Heficed founded by Lithuanians Andrius Kazlauskas and Vincentas Grinius.
The acquisition deal occurred on 29 December 2022. Heficed’s brand, all the current customers, and nine data centers have become part of Hivelocity.
Clients of Heficed will receive more services and access to a network of data centers on six continents. Moreover, the deal will allow Heficed to focus on its subsidiary company IPXO (a fully automated Internet Protocol (IP) address information management platform). IPXO allows companies to lease unused IPv4 addresses, thus solving the problem of their shortage. The company is also working rapidly on IPv6 management controls, allowing businesses to better adopt and use this version of IP addresses.
The transaction will help Hivelocity start providing virtual server services and expand its data centers to Brazil, South Africa, and Nigeria. Besides, it will strengthen its positions in the US, Great Britain, Italy, and German markets. In addition, the US company is going to hire new specialists from Lithuania.
Heficed was launched in 2008 by Lithuanian entrepreneurs. Heficed provides services for IP leasing, monetization, and management services through its IP Address Market platform. It also offers cloud services.
Hivelocity was established in 2002. The headquarters of the company is in Florida. It currently operates in 29 global markets and has 35 infrastructure locations on 6 continents.
Hivelocity maintains and manages tens of thousands of dedicated physical servers, virtualized servers, and private cloud solutions. It has a physical server in Lithuania.
