Ex-employee of Meta and Skype Viktoria Ruubel will lead Veriff’s identity business department

Ex-employee of Meta and Skype Viktoria Ruubel will lead Veriff’s identity business department in London. Her new responsibilities are to lead the creation and implementation of the strategy, product and sales development of the digital identity business line.

According to Veriff product development manager and co-founder Janer Gorohhov, Ruubel has an excellent experience in building and managing global teams and products. 

Viktoria has 20 years of experience building and scaling businesses and products for companies such as Skype, Meta, Intuit. She has been working in Veriff since December 2022. From February 2022 to December 2022 she worked in a London-based business banking platform for businesses Tide as a Senior Vice President of the Department of Business Services that covers all financial administration products for small and medium-sized businesses.

Viktoria worked for Facebook as a Director of Platforms Partnerships in the region of EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) from January 2020 till February 2021. From 2006 to 2008 she worked for Skype as a Head of Product Localization.

She graduated from the University of Tartu and got her Bachelor of Science in Economics. She graduated an executive leadership program in fintech services at MIT and got her Masters in International Management at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

Veriff is an online identity verification company that protects businesses and their customers from online identity fraud. It was established in Tallinn in 2015. Lately, it has raised €100M bringing its total funding to €200M and becoming a Unicorn with €1,5Bln. It has offices in the US, UK, Estonia and Spain. Its investors are Tiger Capital, Accel, Y Combinator and others.
