Ex Dropbox's head of Sales Javier Ortega became Veriff’s CRO

Ex-head of sales in Dropbox's US and Canada departments Javier Ortega became Veriff’s new Chief Revenue Officer. He started to work in the US company office in January 2023.

He will be responsible for revenue generation strategy and processes alignment at Veriff, the establishment of new strategic partnerships and growth of existing relationships, and also searching for expansion opportunities.

According to the founder of Veriff Kaarel Kotkas, Ortega has experience in growing his global business and developing sales teams. He can strengthen Veriff's sales strategy and take the business to the next level.

Javier Ortega worked at Dropbox from 2013 to 2020. In 2018 he became the head of the sales team in the US and Canada. From 2017 to 2022 the company revenue rose from $200M to $1,8B. And it also announced its IPO.

From 2020-2022, Javier Ortega was the Chief Sales Officer at the virtual events platform Hopin. According to Ortega, during his work there, the organization grew from 9 to over 200 people and also increased its revenue in two years.

Veriff is an online identity verification company that protects businesses and their customers from online identity fraud. It was established in Tallinn in 2015. Lately, it has raised €100M bringing its total funding to €200M and becoming a Unicorn with €1,5Bln. It has offices in the US, UK, Estonia, and Spain. Its investors are Tiger Capital, Accel, Y Combinator, and others.
