Estonian Milrem Robotics is to hire about 100 new engineers

Estonian developer of robotics and autonomous systems Milrem Robotics plans to hire 100 new engineers and other staff in 2023. The company is going to expand its product line in order to meet the demand for intelligent robotics systems.

Milrem provides robotics solutions for defense, agriculture, forestry, municipal services, rescue, and mining areas. Currently, it has developed 15 robotic systems. One of its solutions for the defense industry is the THeMIS. It is a multi-role unmanned ground vehicle intended to reduce the number of troops on the battlefield. THeMIS’ open architecture enables it to be rapidly configured from having a transport function to being weaponized, performing ordnance disposal, or supporting intelligence operations according to the nature of the mission.

The company believes that among the customers would be countries that earlier had tested unmanned systems. Besides, they claim that the defense industry is going to experience growth over the next five years.

The startup already has customers from 16 countries. Milrem Robotics was established in 2013 in Tallinn.
